From the moment word started to leak out that Chris Bosh could play in Game 5, you knew the Heat would try to play it down. You expected coach Erik Spoelstra to say exactly what he did at Tuesday shootaround — Bosh is a game time decision.

But you can bet your rent money that Bosh will play Tuesday night.

Here is the quote from Spoelstra, via Ben Gordon of Blazers Edge and Eye on Basketball.

“That will be a game-time decision. He was able to go through a workout yesterday and a shootaround today. We have to continue to evaluate. We’ll let you know tonight when we know… The last two days he’s been able to do real basketball work.”
LeBron James said Bosh had looked good in workouts the past couple days.

The real keys here are Bosh went through shootaround with the team and did real basketball work the last couple days. Combine that with this being a key Game 5 and you can bet he will be back on the court Tuesday night.

And that is huge for the Heat’s offense. Doc Rivers said Monday that Boston would be ready, that they have prepared for every game like he would return.

99% sure he's going to play, they're just listing him as DTD so the Celtics can't completely focus on a Heat team with Bosh.

yea. I almost put "expected to play" in the title instead. I can't see him missing out on this game. Whethero r not he starts is a completely different situation but he's obviously going to play.

Bosh's masseuse died at his house yesterday. Will this effect him at all?

even if he comes back i dont see him being too effective; still better than what theyve been using though. but re-injury is a HUGE risk.

EDIT: did that really happen?

MIAMI -- A South Florida masseuse died at a hospital after collapsing at the Miami Beach home of injured Heat forward Chris Bosh.

A police report says the woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, went to Bosh's home Monday. Bosh has been sidelined with an abdominal strain.

Miami Beach police spokeswoman Vivian Hernandez says the department will conduct its standard death investigation, but there are no immediate signs of foul play.

The woman initially appeared to be well but suddenly collapsed. Fire rescue workers responded and transported the unconscious woman to a nearby hospital, where she died Monday night.

The report says a friend of the victim told officials she had survived cancer about a year ago. The cause of the woman's collapse and eventual death weren't in the report.

Totally weird.
