Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer announced on Tuesday that he is exercising his player option for 2009-10. Boozer will make $12.657 million this season and join the famed 2010 class a free agent next summer. “We are excited that Carlos has decided to remain with the Jazz,” said Utah Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor. “We are hopeful he can continue to play at an All-Star level and will have an injury-free season.” Boozer had been widely expected to become a free agent, but the economic climate of the NBA made delaying his free agency by one season a prudent decision.
Guess he didnt get the money he wanted, I wonder will the Jazz still try to keep Millsap now...

I would be happy with a BG Millsap offseason. But I'd be more happy with JUST signing Millsap and saving the rest.

Yea but I wouldn't mind us offering that, Stuckey could work the pick and roll with him great. They could be our building block, then we save the rest for next year. We'd likely be lottery though.

The 2010 Free Agency class is even more exciting with Boozer added to the 2010 list.

I think the Jazz will still sign Millsap and let Okur go.

Yep! Fo Sho! It's going to be interesting to see how many teams stay clear of signing huge contracts this off season. This may be the year to buy a championship team.

Yeah there arent many teams with CAp this offseason anyway, I think many the top FA's will opt to sign 1 year deals.

Which makes it better for teams like us trying to keep their main pieces together, Nate and Lee mind as well accept the qualifying offers. wait to see who else we're able to sign next year and then we can use the bird rights we have on them to give them the big contracts we want.

I read that Bosh and LeBron want to play with eachother too, so that could either come with a cheaper price or they could still both get greedy..

My Bulls been talking about getting Bosh as well. I just don't know...There's something about him. I did say the same thing about Gasol last year when they were talking about getting him and look what he's done. Guess it's those sucky teams they play for. Although the Raptors weren't that bad in my eyes this past season.

I would of been really surprised to see Boozer leave Utah right now. I though the whole reason he wanted out of Cleveland was to play in Utah, specifically.

The Jazz are shaping to up to be pretty much what they were last season...but at a much higher cost per player. Hell, even Korver is going to bank about $6M this season.
