Carlos Boozer's decision to opt out might not come until June 30th, the deadline to officially do so, but all indications are that he will test free agency.

Boozer would be opting out of $12.7 million he is set to make in 2009-10, but is said to want the security of a long-term deal. He also is believed to have received assurances from Jazz CEO Greg Miller that the team wants him back in Utah.

lots of teams could use a guy like Boozer. For some reason I imagine him in Atlanta.

Horford - Boozer - JSmoove - JJ - Bibby
Now that's a force to be reckoned with. Moving JSmoove back to his natural position and having a banger like Boozer down low would do wonders for them.

I think he is Detroit-bound.

Any team signing him is a mistake. He can't play defense, all he cares about is money, and he is always injured. I hope some team doesn't make a mistake signing him long term.

 that would stink for the Jazz, but Millsap has been filling in nicely for him...

<Censored> Lebron, get Boozer and another role player, I would take both Boozer + Ben Gordon over just Lebron any day

I feel that Lebron, although he will get you regular season wins, really hurts the team at times, often times if you watch his team mates they are just standing around watching, not even trying to get open or being active in any way

I think it's good to get rid of him if your Utah. I still think Boozer is one of the more overrated players in the NBA, I mean he only emerged whenever he played by playmakers like Lebron and Deron. But he's still good, just not AS level IMO.

Would be smart for JAzz to build around Milsap and Deron

It depends on the situation TYO, if he goes to a run and gun team, he will have that affect, if he came to a half court team like the nets, he would fit in nicely

Wasn't there that massive rumour that he was going to be traded there though?

no.
everyone thought he'd sign there, but Miami traded Shaun Marion(who would have opted too) for Jermaine and he doesn't expire until next season.
unless they S&T with Utah giving them Jermiane and overpaying Boozer with 22mill a year lol, I doubt Booz will be in Miami.
