Mike Malone:
The Bobcats have received permission from the Warriors to interview Mike Malone for their head coaching vacancy, according to sources.

Malone will meet with Rod Higgins and Rich Cho on Tuesday.

Malone made $750,000 as Golden State's assistant coach last season. Malone was the runner-up for the job behind Mark Jackson.

Patrick Ewing:
Yahoo's NBA columnist, Adrian Wojnarowski, reports Ewing is expected to interview for the vacant head-coaching job of the team owned by his good friend and former rival, the Charlotte Bobcats.

Ewing, currently an assistant for what looks like the end of the Stan Van Gundy era in Orlando, has been in the conversation for head-coaching jobs the last couple of years. The Pistons, notably, gave him serious consideration last year.
Jerry Sloan:
We're hearing that the Bobcats may take a look at Jerry Sloan to replace Paul Silas. The former Utah Jazz coach would be a tremendous, out-of-the-box choice and the first indication that Jordan is committed to turning his seven-win team around.

The obvious connection between Jordan and Sloan is that they both have their numbers hanging from the rafters in Chicago's United Center. Beyond that, Jordan has great admiration for the coach he twice defeated in the Finals, at the end of his second three-peat.
Nate McMillan:
Told by the Observer Monday that the Charlotte Bobcats have a coaching opening, Nate McMillan didn’t dismiss the idea of returning to North Carolina. “I certainly do want to be in coaching again, so we’ll see what happens,’’ said McMillan, former coach of the Portland Trail Blazers and a one-time N.C. State star.
