Opinions on Ryan Nassib's talent and NFL landing spot are all over the map.

Some national analysts view Nassib as the top quarterback in the 2013 NFL Draft while others don't consider him a first-rounder at all. Several recent reports suggest Nassib will be in play for the Buffalo Bills at No. 8 overall due to his Syracuse ties and the perceived threat that the New York Jets could swoop in for the first-round steal.

Could the Bills be using Nassib's ties with former Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone as a smokescreen for their legitimate interest in a different quarterback?

SI.com's Peter King is hearing the Bills are "seriously targeting" USC's Matt Barkley. NFL.com's Albert Breer has also heard the Bills might have a higher grade on Barkley than Nassib.

Although Barkley's arm-strength concerns would be amplified in the inclement Buffalo weather, Marrone is an avowed fan of the quarterback's game.

After Barkley diced up Syracuse's defense with 324 yards and five touchdowns in a 2011 meeting, Marrone intimated that he would have rivaled Robert Griffin III as the second quarterback drafted last April had he not opted to stay in school.

Hm, I've seen him mocked there a number of times.

I'm not really high on either of them. I haven't seen too many of their games but I really don't care for Barkley.

I still think all this Barkley/Nassib at 8 talk is bullshit. Geno's been the unquestioned number one guy throughout the whole process but now 2 days before the draft these guys just jump him out of nowhere? gtfo here with that shit. This has smokescreen written all over it.

Those two have been talked over Geno for quite some time when it comes to the Bills.

Over Geno? I honestly don't remember either of those guys being mocked/talked about going to Buffalo since the Chiefs traded for Alex Smith.

I said the same thing yesterday Teagle,

It will be Geno. This week is the "lets publicly create smokescreens so nobody finds out who we are drafting". Same goes for Philly, the Lane Johnson talk is just, talk

I thought I remembered somebody on here saying that lol

That Lane Johnson to Philly hype was always lame lol I read that it was all coming from his agent haha. Another popular one for Philly this week has been Tavon Austin.

Gotta love draft week lol

It's Star Lotulelei, or Dion Jordan if he isn't there

Nobody AT ALL is talking about Kyle Long as a possibility for the 2nd rounder. Eagles need to find a guy who can play OT? How bout the guy who played for Chip the past 3 years

I wouldn't mind Long. He's got enough potential to be a solid OT for years.

Shit, I'd be happy with anyone who isn't EJ Manuel lol

these two have been talked about with geno for a while. i just dont undertand how a lot of people have geno as the best qb in the draft and they have him as their 2nd. i think geno is the guy but this may not be a real smokescreen.

I'm not a religious man but I will sure as hell be praying tonight that bosox, Teagle and Pugzo are right.
