ESPN.com - Derrick Mason may have been confused when reporters asked him Friday about when Bill Belichick hurled profanities toward him during an exchange along the sidelines of a Patriots-Ravens game two seasons ago.

Not anymore.

"Just saw that belichick video thing all u ppl are commenting about. He might As well called me boy! Lol total Disrespect," Mason, now with the Jets, tweeted on Friday afternoon from his verified account. "Had I said that to him, everyone would have been in a uproar! I have to much respect for the game to speck to a coach in that manner!"

In the NFL Network documentary, "Bill Belichick: A Football Life," which aired Thursday night, Belichick can be seen going off on Mason, then with the Ravens, after he hauled in a catch near the Patriots' sideline during a game in 2009.

Who cares. It's Derrick Mason. Once he's the best WR in NFL history, he can reply to the best coach in NFL history. Until then, he needs to shup up.

I'd say coaches like Bill Walsh are ahead of him simply because they revolutionized the game with new schemes and stuff like that.

But, hes not THAT great at drafts..

Wanna go back over all the picks?

Sure, he got Gronk, Devin McCourty, Hernandez.. but hes not THAT great at drafting.

Hes had his gems, but hes also had big ass failures..

I'm not talking about that. The way he keeps trading down, for a ton of 2-3 round picks and builds his team with those guys.

Doesn't make him a genius...

Got Ron Brace and Darius Butler from the same type of shit in 2009, and they both flopped.

I didn't hear what Mason said in the game to be honest.
But either way, Mason has no room to talk anything to anyone.

And Kam, who cares? Every pick wont be perfect. It's the guys he does get, and it's those guys who are the core of his team.

So lets ignore the bums hes drafted along the way?

& Hes drafted more bums than great players.

If we only counted the good players.. Shack Harris would still have a Job in Jacksonville for Marcedes, Maurice, Uche, MSW, Justin Durant, Etc.

Nobody is perfect at drafting lol

And sure, of course there are more busts than gems, but thats because he is able to manipulate other GMs by offering a 2nd in exchange for a 3rd that year, and a 4th the next

But Kam, when you find a guy like Tom Brady in the 6th, the busts do not matter lol.
6th fucking round. And looking at that lists, he's drafted the best QB of arguably the decade, if not all time, all their good WR's (other than Ocho, and who knows what he's got left and Welker), their whole O-Line, LB's, DB's, and a very important NT. He's built this team through the draft, and they've been good for almost 10 years. When you continually keep your team relevant year after year through drafting, the bad players do not matter, and that is the difference between that Pats and the Jags.

Exactly. And who cares if we wasted a 2nd rounder on Butler? Kyle Arrington, a UDFA, looks better than a lot of 2nd round CBs right now.

Kyle Love, another UDFA, is great when we use our 3 DT formation, when he's in between Vince and Al. Much better than Brace

Also, he may not have drafted him, he's gotta get some credit for trading for Welker.

Yes, exactly. And it's not like the Welker was a big acquisition at the time. He wasn't blue collar.
