The Miami Heat are considering the possibility of bringing back Michael Beasley, according to sources.

Several of the Heat's key veterans are supportive of signing Beasley. No offer has been made and no deal is imminent.

Beasley also has strong interest in returning to the Heat, who drafted him second overall in the 2008 NBA draft. He was dealt in the summer of 2010, when the Heat created enough salary space to sign LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

Beasley was released by the Phoenix Suns recently and has had issues off the court.
Think that would be a perfect landing spot for him. If anyone is going to get him motivated it is going to be Wade and LeBron.

"Lets think of ways to get LeBron to not consider coming back to MIami"

The Miami Heat have signed Michael Beasley.
Beasley will receive a minimum of $1,027,424 with Miami's actual cap hit of $788,872.
Beasley's deal is non-guaranteed.

Like I said in the OP, I think if LeBron and Wade can get his ass motivated to play, it can be a pretty good signing. Low-risk, high-reward type deal. Though those seem to never pan lol.

They're clearly trying to form a new big 3.

Beasley and Oden would have seemed like a hell of a start 5 years ago.

Clearly superior to a Durant/Rose combo.

Doesn't really make them a better team, terrible player.  And a bust.

I wouldn't quite say he's a terrible player. But terrible at being a professional.

He's a talented player that lacks motivation.
Couple years removed from averaging 19 points a game.
Hardly a terrible player.

What he did two years ago is hardly relevant to what he is doing now.  Yes, he did have a season where he scored 19 ppg, but it was a highly unimpressive 19 ppg, empty stats some call it.  He took 17 shots to get there (highly inefficient), he's a ball stopping extraordinaire, and did absolutely nothing else.  Didn't set himself apart on the boards (honestly it's probably the only part of his game that is at least average), didn't create steals, didn't block shots, turned the ball over a lot, and sure as hell didn't play a lick of defense.  I read a quote one time that described his defense as "a tour de force in not giving a crap."  He wasn't nearly as bad as he is now (he's been downright awful the last two seasons), but he was still pretty bad.
