From fannation.com
Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti will give interim head coach Scott Brooks the job for the remainder of the season, with a chance to win it permanently. Presti fired P.J. Carlesimo following Friday's loss to New Orleans, which dropped the Thunder to 1-12. If things don't work out with Brooks, keep an eye on ex-Dallas coach Avery Johnson, who has Spurs ties with Presti and played juco ball in Oklahoma.

I would love this because then I wouldn't get that awkward feeling watching Mavs games on ESPN with Avery analyzing us.

Why didn't I see this move happening...
Makes a lot of sense for the OKC to pull the trigger on Avery!
He will bring the intensity to put this young team into place and with Westbrook he could mold him into a mold of himself.

Anything that gets him off ESPN I approve.

Agreed. His pronunciations are so weird and so random

I like it, not because of ESPN I don't watch ESPN anymore.... but it would be good for the Thunder. The only problem I see is that veterans from Dallas didn't like him(notably Nowitzki and Kidd), I wonder how the young guns would react.

Avery would be a great coach for the young Thunder.

Wow, didn't think of this. I could see this, I think it could work out.

They can't get much worst anyways.
