Ariza Could Double Salary

Trevor Ariza will become an unrestricted free agent this summer and is one of the Lakers' top off-season priorities.

He makes $3.1 million this season and might be able to at least double his salary with his new contract.

RealGM Note: Ariza is ranked 90th in season FIC and with a Reina Value of +152%, he 'deserves' to make almost $8 million.

I like the dude and his game, but a hair over 6 mill is a lot for a role player..

Lakers are going to be handing out some big bucks with Odom and Ariza becoming free agents... We'll see if Ariza and Odom like winning more then money, because I'm sure a team like the Thunder or Grizzlies will be willing to dish out some major money.

The Grizzlies have been reluctant to dish out big bucks, of course a player like Pau Gasol was the exception, but for a role player like Ariza I don't think they'd overpay him. The Thunder could grab a lot of players though.
