* * * Attention Fantasy Football GM's * * *
Hampered by a nagging hamstring injury suffered last Sunday, Adrian Peterson and the Vikings are unsure whether or not the star will play this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
After sitting out all week, Peterson returned to practice Friday but was limited. According to Brad Childress, the Vikings won't know if Peterson will suit up and play until the couple hours prior to Sunday's kick off.
Peterson, who currently leads the NFL with 263 yards on the ground, has been treating the hamstring all week long and does not want push it, potentially causing further damage.
Should Peterson not be a "go", Chester Taylor will get the start. At 0-2, Peterson's absence would really put the Vikings in a tough spot. Earlier this week, Brad Childress opted to give 37-year old Gus Ferotte the starting nod at quarterback. -AE
