Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today. Bynum did not travel with the team to Boston last night for the teams game this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. vs. the Celtics and has been excused from all team activities indefinitely. His status will be updated as appropriate.

It's understandable though, he was in constant pain. It was pretty shocking he made it back on time for the season and has avoided major injury since returning. Good luck big guy

So just cut him, if it has to do with constant pain. Now they're just tarnishing his image even more than necessary.

This kid was so good. It sucks that this just happens to trees, sometimes.

Eric Gordon for Andrew Bynum and CJ Miles. Where do I sign?

He skipped the team flight to Boston, that warrants a suspension.

No where, because I wouldn't deal CJ Miles alone for Gordon.

he was so young after his first injury it left a bad taste in his mouth. if he doesn't want to play anymore he should medically retire, though.

Maybe he wants to pursue a bowling career?

Apparently the Cavs are aggressively trying to trade him before January 7th. Something about his contract being guaranteed after that day or some shit.

Only 6 million of his 12 million dollars is guaranteed before January 7th, once that day hits, the other 6 million is guaranteed.

For a team in the luxury tax right now, he's a target if they want to get under. They trade for him, cut him before the date, and they're off the books for 6 million.

I imagine he'll just get released.

Yeah I just read on Twitter than nobody wants him and that he is likely to be released.

I'd take him off the bench with the Pistons. If he would actually play lol.

He's not engaged at all when he isn't the focus. Having him as a bench player makes your team worse. You have to start him and focus your offense around him, or he's going to be unhappy, or just not focused.

Not good for any team that likes to run, either.

If the Nets decide they're done and want to get lower with the luxury tax, Bynum for Pierce would be a start. Would clear around 9-10 million once they cut Bynum. Don't think it happens though
