Ovi has 17 goals, accompanied with 7 assists, in his last 15 games.  He has recorded two hat tricks already this season, still with eight games left to play in a 48-game season.  He hasn’t had multiple hat tricks in a season since his 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons when he recorded 65 (career high) and 56 (2nd most in his career) goals, respectively.   If he stays as hot as he has been, there’s no reason he can’t flirt with his goal totals from the past two seasons in which he scored 32 and 38 in full 82-game seasons.  He is tied for the league lead in goals at 26 with Steven Stamkos.
