Allen Iverson has told associates he is prepared to come to the New York Knicks."We wouldn't be considering it if we thought we were functioning well and we're not," Walsh said of the Knicks, who went into last night's game against the Pacers with a 1-9 record. "And I want to make sure if we do something like this it's the right thing to do."

Walsh said if the Knicks do offer Iverson a contract it will likely be for the $1.4 million veteran's minimum.

I said we should probably stay away, but we got him, and Im a die-hard Knick fan, and AI is probably coming to NY.

Sht Gallo suprised the hell outta me lol, hopefully this will too

At first, I was against it... But why not? This team is going nowhere, and tanking only gives the Jazz a better pick... So let's try and <Censored> with as many teams as possible and hope this works out a bit...

And less PT to Tonaaaay.

Its not like we have much to play for this year. Lets just sign him and hopefully we can win a couple more games.

Yeah, this' been confirmed. I think it might actually be a good move for AI to be honest. That or he could just be the next Marbury.

This is a win-win situation in my books. AI will get plenty of touches I assume, and probably start? Unless I'm wrong, seeing as I don't catch too much Knicks basketball. AI will also give some excitement to the team, see more butts in MSG, unless they already have a lot of people in the seats, seeing as I don't watch the Knicks lol.

I think it's funny that the Knicks need to add him to the glut of guards they have. Why not? I mean you have 6 on the roster so 7 won't hurt. AI's best opportunity to win a ring is Miami or Orlando now since Jameer is injured. I also heard things about Cleveland showing some interest at the SG position since they're two's are mediocre players. I mean think of all the mismatches Cleveland could have with AI, LeBron, Mo and Shaq. Just saying IDT A.I. should jump on this NYK b/s because LeBron isn't coming and they fukked themselves by skipping over Brandon Jennings

Knicks tickets are WAY too expensive for such a <Censored>ty team, lol. I went one time with my mom and it was a lot of fun. A good mom-son experience, she was getting nervous cuz I was rooting for the Mavericks the whole time, lmao.

The Knicks have decided not to sign Allen Iverson.

The team had been considering whether to add Iverson to the roster after starting the season 2-9. As of Thursday evening, a deal appeared imminent. One source put the percentage likelihood of the Knicks signing Iverson in the high 90's.

Knick owner James Dolan was reportedly hesitant about signing Iverson for the remainder of the season but said he would not stand in the way if Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni were in favor of the move.

The Knicks pulled back late Thursday, deciding that the risks of adding Iverson outweighed the potential rewards.
I know Donnie wanted him, but D'Antoni didnt, and I guess they went with what D'Antoni wanted.

And I was just warming up to the idea of AI in NY lol

Yea, Im kind of dissapointed actually. Idk we'll see what happens if Eddy Curry can stay healthy, he scored 10 points in 11 minutes against the Pacers.

I was against it, warmed up to it, and now accept the fact that we're not getting him... I listened to a few good arguments against it and realize I was right from the start. Sure, we don't have our pick, but why bring in someone who won't be here for the long run? LeBron won't want to play with a washed up ball hog AI... And AI would stunt the growth of Gallo (if anyone could stunt the growth of Gallo, it's AI), DLee, Wilson Chandler, etc..
