Agent Unsure Of NY Return FOr Lin

Jeremy Lin's agent, Roger Montgomery, said that he doesn't expect negotiations with the Knicks to be as simple as they have been portrayed by Mike Woodson.

Woodson said that Lin would "absolutely" return when he was asked about it following the end to New York's season.

“I don’t expect that," said Montgomery. "We’re not anticipating that’s going to happen. We don’t have assurances of anything. I know history shows most restricted free agents go back to their team, but I’m not going to assume anything. We’re waiting to see what happens.’’

A source confirmed that the Raptors will be one team pursuing Lin.

The Knicks cannot be outbid for Lin.

I wouldn't want to go back if I was Lin with Woodson's isolation offense. I think the odds are the Knicks will keep him around though unless a team ridiculously overpays him, which is possible.

i think his knee issues will turn away a lot of teams so I'd say his chances of staying are better than most people are thinking. But I still wouldn't be surprised if a team went out and made a stupid offer for him.

I just hope we dont match some teams ridiuclous offer, he isnt worth it.

Id like to see us make a move for Scott Machado, since on all the mocks Ive seen he's a low 2nd round pick. Cause giving him anything more then 4mil a years is overpaying, we dont have money (or enough of it) to get a PG that will help, cause I doubt Felts, DreMiller or Nash would be willing to play for the MLE, or however much of it we have left.
