This is my first cut using Photoshop CS:

I don't think it's terrible, but the pen tool was hard to use for me, so the ball is messed up, along with other small mistakes. If you're wondering, his left arm was like that in the picture.

Critiques are much appreciated!

1-u should really try with a larger pic first.. the smaller ones are way more difficult
2-cut deeper into the picture so u don't leave so much BG around the edges
3-do Layer-defringe to help get rid of the excess BG
4-for the ball, use the elliptical tool and make a cirlce. then inverse the selection and erase the edges

Sounds complicated, but perhaps I'll learn how and try another one tomorrow.

What Jarrod said is what I would have said execpt I cut balls with the path tool but Ill use his advice now on.
And you'll get better.

what jarrod said, way too much background, and next time save in .png instead of .jpg. and i hate you and you suck, haha jk
