76ers Release Royce White

The Philadelphia 76ers have released Royce White.

White was acquired from the Houston Rockets this offseason via trade.

White suffers from anxiety disorder and didn't play in the NBA at all last season after being a first round pick.

"Philly fans... you've been amazing! so much positivity," wrote White. "It was an honor to put on the red white & blue in front of you. Even just preseason!"

Who's going to take a chance on this guy? I mean, I just don't see it, at this point. He's clearly better suited to make his career out of raising awareness for mental illness. That's how Royce White can make an impact in this world.

id agree that his life calling is going to be trying to be the face for anxiety disorder. hopefully all works out for him.
