The Philadelphia 76ers bought out guard Andres Nocioni on Friday night, CSNPhilly.com reports.
Nocioni, 32, had played 56 minutes in 11 games for the Sixers this season and was made even more expendable by the team's acquisition of Sam Young from the Memphis Grizzlies.
Philadelphia acquired Nocioni in 2010 from the Sacramento Kings. He'd spent his first five full NBA seasons with Chicago Bulls, averaging a career-best 14.1 points in 2006-07.
The move allows Nocioni to sign with another NBA team for the rest of the season or return to Argentina, where he played professionally and is a staple of the national team.
