"The 49ers picked up another wide receiver for their yet-to-be-signed starting quarterback Saturday. As the team awaited word from Peyton Manning on the place of his future employment, it signed former Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham to a two-year contract, according to a league source. Financial terms were not revealed. Earlier in the week, San Francisco signed Randy Moss, 35, to bolster a wide receiving corps in need of an upgrade in 2012. Good pickup. They got a nice core of wide receivers there in san fran. Now they just need a qb

Hopefully that QB is Peyton Manning since Alex is out here hanging out in Miami and shit.

Either way, they'll have a much better offense this season I'm predicting. Especially in the red zone where they struggled most.

We'll see what the results are but I like the signing. The team knew that they were weak at the position last year and have upgraded without spending a ton of money (depending on the terms of Manningham's contract). I am hopeful though they still look to find a WR in the draft they can develop though since Moss isn't a long-term solution and Manningham only has a two year deal.
