I would be very curious what would be going out to the 3rd team. Im assuming Lonzo and #4, but one of the bigger changes between February and now is that the new Pelicans staff really likes Lonzo. But I would also safely assume that they would like the return from the 3rd team more than Lonzo...
Im going to change my wording a bit there. It hasnt dissuaded any team from being competitive. Would Boston be more willing to include EVERYTHING if they knew for a fact he would resign? Who knows.
Ive also heard the Knicks are getting cold feet, but thats because of how the Melo trade...
Everything is about leverage. Paul making that comment in public is a push for leverage, if Boston doesnt even have an offer on the table theres no need to make that comment.
Ive said it all along, if Boston pushes all their chips in, he will be a Celtic. Whether thats for a year or more than...
No and no. Pelicans had tons of leverage already, and have only gotten more since the Kawhi thing and the KD injury has played out. I said it the other day, but all offers will be on the table by this weekend and sometime early to mid next week youll hear about the final deal.
Mannix also reported this yesterday afternoon:
My take on this is is pretty simple. If Griffin preferred the Lakers deal it would be done by now. Theyre offering everything. But like Ive always said, there would be moving parts in any Lakers deal. Its clear Griffin prefers the Boston deal...
bosox has been doing this the entire time. Dudes reading comprehension is lower than my godchilds.
A grown man having the magnificent ability to read something and take something out of it that wasnt said every single time is something to really take in.
I think they're far and away the best front office. May have not been true back in February, but it certainly is now. I know y'all are laughing, but I'm not sitting here saying the Pelicans are an elite level front office. Just that they're leaps and bounds better than the shit show that is...
Oh, and I also think its absolutely hilarious that AD is leaving New Orleans because he wants to win, yet his two preferred teams are the Knicks and Lakers. The two teams with by far the worst records in the NBA the last six years. With the Pels new FO and foundation thats like a Google or...
Lmao dude youre such a clown. My god
1- I said nothing about expectations on Beal resigning or the Pelicans Finals chances. You pulled that out your ass.
2- AD can focus on whoever he wants, but ultimately he has no effect on who he gets traded to.
Also, this is so predictable it is utterly...
I would be fine with it for Beal. What Kawhi has done in Toronto has really changed the leagues tune on taking risks with top level talent.
Now Portland is going hard for AD to, and offering McCollum, Collins, plus. Thats something I wouldnt be in favor of.
Ive read so many times on this...
Kevin Durant blows a 3-1 series lead to the Warriors, who then blow a 3-1 series lead to the Cavs, which opened the door for KD to come to the Warriors. And then, KD being the reason that the Warriors come back from a 3-1 Finals deficit and bouncing is the ONLY way this can end.
I think youre going to see the AD trade start approaching the finish line this week. Mid to late end of this week youll see national guys start leaking trade packages. Of course youll see guys say team A refuses to include _______. And then within like 24 hours someone will say the opposite...
Im thinking its because hes still raw, inexperienced, and inconsistent. Which all kind of goes together. He looks like Demarre Carrol, with more transition, open court, and creation skills. He could be a better Tobias Harris with more athleticism and more defensive ability. He has a top 5...
