Palmer has FAR SUPERIOR numbers than the following QBs in the hall:
Joe Namath
Troy Aikmen
Bob Griese
Y.A. Tittle
Terry Bradshaw
Dan Fouts
Warren Moon
etc. etc. I realize that Super Bowls are another factor not taken into account, but from a numbers standpoint he's in.
I believe a ring would solidify him as a Hall of Famer. He's one of those weird cases where he has pretty good numbers, but he has never been thought of as a primetime top 5 QB in the league. He might be one that quietly slides in the HoF with just enough votes based on numbers and a solid...
Yeah the Lakers (and others) in the league are doing the same thing. The 76ers weren't smart enough to not come out and awkwardly say it. Everyone knows what is going on, but it's a different story when you confirm it.
I have praised them for how they've done it lol. All that I said was that eventually they'll have to abandon ship. I don't think Silver will allow them to keep intentionally sucking year after year. That's why he strong armed them into bringing in Colangelo. But like a page back I've praised how...
I don't think anyone is questioning that they're doing a good job of sucking. The problem is that they haven't gotten a franchise changing player yet, and you can't suck intentionally for 10 years until you land one haha
I think that's a very underrated thing in the league. Often times we lose sight of the fact that these are young kids... We are both older than Okafor lol. And they are playing a grown man's game on a national stage. They need guidance when they're young
Silver kind of made them do it. Introduced him and Sixers owner together. I posted a thread about it with a full article with all of the details. Great move for them and the league so that they stop intentionally sucking at an all time level lol
I think four years is plenty and now is the time to evaluate and make some trades. I agree. I just think that it's smart to tank all out if you don't plan on being good
