I missed the 4th quater, and they were up 28-13 when I cut it off. Regardless of the final score, the game was never really that close.

Maybe not technically a beat down, but the Redskins were in control from start to finish.
They didn't look in control at all in the second half. The Cowboys completely outplayed them. They just dug themselves into too big of a hole in the first half. And I give the Skins a lot of credit for winning, but in no way was it a "beat down" lol

I'm not concerned about semantics, goddammit.

I saw my team play some good football for TWO consecutive weeks. For as long as I can remember, I don't know if I've seen two good performances in entire seasons from this team. Don't you ruin this for me.

I feel so bad for Tony Romo. He has one of the worst lines in the league and his only weapons are Witten and Dez Bryant who doesn't have a brain (yes I know austin and Murray too but they're always hurt). He takes way too much blame for what's not usually his fault.
This X 1000.

He has to continually compensate for the shittiness of his teammates. Fans are in love with Cole Beasley, but he had no separation on Romo's first INT. If that's Austin (he runs most of Dallas' slot routes), that's not a pick. The London Fletcher pick was bad, but yet again, he was looking for Beasley because Dez hadn't showed up yet and the 'skins did a GREAT job on Witten yesterday.

Not to mention he has to bail out his defense all of the time. Why does the Dallas defense need to get their shit kicked for a half before they start playing well? I don't get it, and I really don't understand what's so difficult about stopping this Redskins offense. It's simple: Discipline, control your gaps, your DEs or OLBs maintain outside containment. Even Ware bit on a fake yesterday. It was bad. Give the 'skins 5 with Morris over 10 with RG3 getting outside. Please.

Maintain your gaps and containment, then apply pass pressure in passing situations (while also maintaining the outside). There's a reason Dick LeBeau beat the shit out of this Redskins offense.

The 'boys brought pressure, but tried to play zone. Griffin is smart, and he found the holes in the zone. These receivers aren't that good. Play man with help where necessary.

Watch NYG smack Washington next week, because they'll be smart enough to apply the Pittsburgh blueprint. I need Rob Ryan to show up against teams like Washington. Come on, man.

Eleven dropped passes would make it appear that way, wouldn't it? Pittsburgh didn't provide any blueprint, nobody outside of Griffin showed up to play that week.

But you're right, it's as simple as that to stop the Redskins offense. Any random forum-goer can see it, and pick it apart. That's why 10 out of 11 NFL defensive minds and personnel groups couldn't find a way to slow them down this season.

Dallas did contain Griffin's scrambling ability last night. Not only that, but they actually managed to get quite a bit of pressure on him. They just found out the hard way that his down field passing ability and veteran-like poise in the pocket is much better than anyone seems to give him credit for.

I also feel like I should respond to this... I know it's difficult to comprehend, but maybe the Redskins aren't the doormat of the NFC like everyone is used to. Hell, even if they were, Dallas fans should be accustomed to mediocrity by now.

EDIT: fuck it, this is just arguing for the sake of arguing with salty Dallas fans.

I'm not a Dallas fan and I picked the Redskins to win yesterday.

But come on he didn't play well vs. Cincinnati, or vs. Atlanta, or vs, the Panthers....

Griffin only played half of the Falcons game. He had a great second half against the Bengals, and the Panthers game was the mediocre performance I was initially referring to. To be fair, I wasn't talking about Griffin having good performances 10 out of 11 times this year, I was talking about the offense in general being shut down.

None of this really matters. I think everyone can agree that Griffin isn't bad at football.

"Overrated" gets thrown around way too much. The term is subjective.

If everyone wants to label him as overrated, that's fine by me. I'll take 3000+ yards, 68% completions, 22 TDs and 6 turnovers from this overrated quarterback.

I think RG3 has been great, but ESPN calling him the MVP and already claiming him to be better than Andrew Luck, etc. is completely false. Blame Skip Bayless and Mike Wilbon, but he's overrated man.

He has been better than Luck and he has to be in the MVP discussion.

Luck currently has the Colts in the playoff picture. Did you see that team without him last year? The Redskins beat the Super Bowl champions twice last year, so they were at least formidable. I'm not saying RG3 hasn't done great things in Washington but he's running a gimmick offense. I'm not going to call RG3 an elite QB until I see him do it in a pro offense (don't say he is because even Hurricane said the Redskins are babying the hell out of him)

And give him credit because it's working for now but just like Denver last year teams are going to figure out how to stop it and that will be that...

well, the whole time he was in the Redskins didn't score a single offensive point. I think RG3 is a great athlete, however he's way overhyped, not necessarily overrated
and lets not forget the number of playmakers around him in DC. Outside of an impressive year from Alfred Morris (who?)
