Update from Wojnarowski:

Progress made in trade talks
Framework of the trade is there
DeVos family has the final call
Cleveland and Humphries have to settle one year vs multi-year deal rift
As close as ever Howard has been to becoming a Net
Bynum has little interest in playing long term in Orlando
Lakers took themselves out by trading away picks for Nash, Orlando wants picks over everything
Magic don’t love Nets deal, but realize best it is the best they're going to get.

Also hearing the Clippers are getting involved. They supposedly would give up picks and land Marshon Brooks.

Hump is 27 and is coming off back to back solid seasons
just averaged 14/11 this year and i have not heard 1 thing about him aside from this

no one wants him? seriously?
worse players have probably signed for more than what he wants recently.

The Clippers are getting a good deal for Marshon Brooks if that pick is lottery protected. The kid had a great rookie season, and could probably be their SF of the future.

I didn't see anything on this page and didn't want to go back a page.

I'm also hearing the Bobcats may take the place of the Cavs in this trade.

The Clippers are still considering whether or not they want to be included as the fourth team in a trade involving Dwight Howard.

Los Angeles would receive MarShon Brooks in exchange for a future first round pick.

Cleveland Cavaliers: The Cleveland Cavaliers seemed like a willing trade partner and midday yesterday it seemed like a deal was not only workable but close. But as these things tend to do, it unraveled quickly when word surfaced that Kris Humphries would not do a deal on a one-year contract which then started a back and forth that ended the day with Cleveland backing out according to sources.

The Cavs were supposed to be the landing spot for Humphries on a one-year $9 million deal to which the Cavs would get a first round pick for playing broker. The deal expanded pretty aggressively with Luke Walton’s contract being tossed in at some point. Late last night, as the deal was said to be gaining serious traction, sources close to the process said the Cavs appeared to be backing out after making a demand to obtain Brook Lopez for themselves, too. There was talk of second-year forward Tristan Thompson being packed in to Orlando in exchange for not getting Lopez and that’s when things seemed to derail.

If the Cavs wanted Lopez they could sign him outright without giving up Thompson.

The Orlando Magic have re-opened negotiations with teams other than the Brooklyn Nets for Dwight Howard, a league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

The Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams but "not the best option," the source said.

The Nets have been trying to acquire the Magic's star center but need other teams to help facilitate the blockbuster trade. Sources told ESPN.com on Monday that the Nets and Magic were cautiously optimistic that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers would help them facilitate a four-way trade to send Howard to Brooklyn.

In that proposed trade, according to sources, the Nets would receive Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark. The Magic would get Brook Lopez, Luke Walton, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Armon Johnson and three first-round picks -- two from the Nets and a lottery-protected first from the Clippers. The Cavs would get Kris Humphries, Quentin Richardson, Sundiata Gaines, a first-round pick from the Nets and $3 million in cash. The Clippers would receive MarShon Brooks.

The deal also could involve the Charlotte Bobcats replacing the Cavaliers, league sources said.

Further hurdles exist, however, in that Lopez, Humphries, James, Williams, Johnson and Gaines would all have to agree to sign-and-trades to move them.

As part of their due diligence the Nets and Magic have exchanged medical information on Howard, who had back surgery, and Lopez, who had foot surgery, sources said.

Humphries' agent, Dan Fegan, is still trying to convince Humphries to settle for a deal that will be guaranteed for just one year. Fegan also represents Howard. The Bobcats have more salary-cap space than the Cavs and would not be opposed to a multiyear deal for Humphries, a source told Bucher.

A couple of weeks ago, just before Orlando hired Rob Hennigan as its new general manager, Brooklyn offered a similar three-team trade proposal to the Cavs, sources said, only to be turned down by the Magic.

But there is another potential hurdle that the Nets and Magic are fighting.

Multiple league executives told ESPN.com on Sunday that there is growing reluctance among some teams to participate in the sort of three-team deal that would get Howard to Brooklyn, amid some leaguewide dissatisfaction that the Los Angeles Lakers were able to swing a deal for Steve Nash last week.

Being the cog in creating another super team in Brooklyn, with Deron Williams and Joe Johnson already in the mix, is not palatable to some teams concerned about competitive balance.

"You can talk about the new (luxury) tax all you want, but if the Lakers get Nash and the Nets get Howard, then what did the new CBA accomplish?" one GM said. "You have to realize part of long-term planning is making sure you don't help create teams you can't beat."
For fuck's sake

Of course you want Dwight, he's better than Horford and Teague together, and you have Devin Harris now so losing Teague wouldn't really hurt, they're pretty similar talent wise at this stage in their careers.

If CP3 hits FA after this season he would definitely take a long, hard look at playing in Atlanta with Dwight.
