Swinging for upside..If PJ3 hits...The team's future would be so bright.I'd take all 3 of those guys over Jones

I don't like his jumper enough as a 3..I like him as a stretch combo forward.I'd categorize his upside in more of the Paul George range, not top 10 player. If he's drafted a SF, I think he could be like Paul George. If he's taken as a PF he wont last long.
I'll take that risk everyday of the week with Perry. WHen he wanted to he could be dominant in college. I keep thinking about to how he dominated KU/KSU in the big 12 tourney.Perry's upside has been overstated.
He just doesn't have the mental makeup to be a superstar.
He was so athletically gifted in college, but he won't have as much of step forward in NBA. He'll have a tough time dominating anyone in college.I'll take that risk everyday of the week with Perry. Because his size and athleticism is incredibly rare at the center position. If he doesn't care then yea, he's going to suck, but you have to believe he's going to care, or at least hope as a general manager.I don't get this talk about how Drummond is thought of as having so much potential. Does speed + strength + size = potential? I thought there was more to it than that, like hand-eye coordination, mental drive or feel for the game along with athletic ability. All Drummond has is a big, athletic body

Cavaliers PF/C Anderson Varejao, of the players that could realistically be dealt during the #NBADraft , is the top big man on the trade market. According to a source Cleveland has been talking to teams in the lottery about him.
There aren't too many 6'11 guys with basically a 40 inch vertical in the NBA. He's a athletic freak on any level. He was so athletically gifted in college, but he won't have as much of step forward in NBA. He'll have a tough time dominating anyone in college.
The best thing I've heard about him was comparing him to acting. He's not a leading actor, he's a supporting actor. But he looks like George Clooney. If a dream drafts him for his upside, they'll end up looking at all of his skills and be disappointed because they aren't getting enough out of him.
A guy like Terrence Ross will have a better career.
via http://www.blazersedge.com/Sam Amick of SI.com reports that the Portland Trail Blazers could look to trade up from the No. 6 spot to the No. 3 pick held by the Washington Wizards in order to select Syracuse guard Dion Waiters.
----------------------------
One executive said on Wednesday night that Cleveland (No. 4) was under the impression that Portland was attempting to use its No. 6 pick to get Washington's No. 3 pick and draft Syracuse shooting guard Dion Waiters. Then Yahoo! Sports reported that the Cavs -- who were at the front of that line of teams trying to get to No. 2 in order to pick Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal -- were seriously considering Waiters at No. 4.
While Waiters is known to be in the Cavs' mix, sending out the message that he's their guy at No. 4 could lead to Beal's landing in their lap. Here's that scenario: The Bobcats select Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson, as many expect them to do if they keep the No. 2 pick. Then the Trail Blazers, if successful in obtaining the third pick, take Waiters there, leaving Beal to Cleveland.
there ya go, dove.Neil Olshey said he intends to use both the 6th and 11th picks in the first round of the draft.
"Right now, what we can net back just isn't enough to justify moving the picks," Olshey said. "I'm pretty comfortable (figuring picks) 1-2-3-4. After that, it's going to be a crapshoot."
Olshey sees the Blazers as being in the asset acquisition phase of their rebuild plan.
"The whole league is about having assets," Olshey said. "It's about having good young players, liquid contracts and cap flexibility. And right now, we have some of those. We don't have all of them, we have some of them."
