I think I need some help with the Cowboys pick.

I could go CB, Kirkpatrick or Gilmore?

Or I could go 3-4 OLB, Upshaw? Could Coples play there?

Watch. He's going to climb up the boards. Don't be fooled by the media who bases everything off hype. It's not a reach if you would actually watch the guy play. He's got more talent then Floyd or Wright hands down. And I did say they would trade down so..

Yep, I'm not the only one:

Despite a 4.55 forty time at the Combine, ex-NFL scout Dave Razzano describes LSU WR Rueben Randle as a "vertical guy" who will stretch the field in the pros.

"Rueben Randle, he's more of a vertical guy even though he didn't run real good," said Razzano. "He plays fast. Boy, he's one guy that'll stretch a defense." Randle did redeem himself with forty times of 4.33 and 4.37 at LSU's Pro Day. We wouldn't be surprised if Randle was drafted much higher than anticipated. NFL teams covet vertical wideouts who create separation. Apr. 15 - 4:46 pm et

I don't like Randle because he should have went to Miami. Same with Patrick Peterson and Dwayne Bowe. Fuck LSU and everybody that ever went there.

Randle is "projected" to go early to mid 1st.

Him going 25th to Denver could be that reach they are talking about. 13th? That's absolutely awful

You're just doing this to be different. Stop it.
No, I'm doing it because Randle is the closest thing to Julio Jones in this draft. I'm doing it because I put the time in to watch these guys. You guys are all caught up in ESPN and their hype train. The NFL draft is a crap shoot, and not every highly publicized player is going to be good. Probably half will. Let's look at the 2005 NFL Draft. You wanna see the first round recievers in order? Braylon Edwards, Troy Williamson, Mike Williams, Matt Jones, Mark Clayton, and FINALLY, after ALL of them, is Roddy White. I think Floyd is a hype guy, like the 5 I mentioned, and Randle is a sleeper guy like White. I do my homework unlike 95% of you sheep who follow the media crowd. I'm sick of it.

LMAO.
He's in the 22-32 range. "Much higher" is 10-15 range.

What were ya gonna say Falco?
I was just saying how Roddy wasnt much of a threat until Post-Vick. Coming out of the draft, he wasnt really all that.
but after reading what I posted, it doesnt have that much to do with the convo/disagreement

Yeah, I'm just pointing out he was the 6th taken, which Rueben will probably be the 4th-5th, but it only takes one team to realize how good he is and snag him earlier than expected. Either way, he's going to be a stud.

Randle over Floyd is a joke.

If Floyd falls to the Bears again, then I wish the people on this board were drafting in real life.

There's nothing wrong with liking Randle. For the record, I like him too... But if we are having a site-wide consensus mock draft... What are you trying to accomplish with having him go that high?

The mock isn't a place for you to grade who you think is going to be good in the league, nor is it a place for you to show your biases towards certain prospects, or against others.

I like how you generalize and try to call me out for not doing research... Which couldn't be further from the case. Just because I don't make it a point to make every comment related to watching film like you do, doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about... In fact it says a lot more about you that you feel so insecure that you feel the need to keep pointing that out. Relax, we all get it... you watch youtube.

Also don't know what makes you think that your untrained eye is any better than the "heardsmen" in your sheep analogy. I understand that most of the sites are wrong more than half of the time, and I know that it isn't enough to blindly follow them... But let's be real. They do this shit and get paid to do it whether you like it or not. Some are better than others, and you may even think you're better than some... But there's no way you'll convince anyone that you are.

I honestly think Randle can go that high. From other sources, like I posted, some think he's going to go higher than the consensus for him, and it only takes one team to bite. Most mocks have him at 21 or 22, how is 13 that big of a deal? Outside of the top 7-8 guys, no ones is considered "elite". I didn't do it to screw the mock, from what I read, it could happen. Lots of people didn't think that Aldon Smith and Jake Locker were top 10 picks last year but they were. I think Randle could make a climb as well.

And I don't watch Youtube videos, I'm one of the guys that makes them lol. It's the best we have, and there's no way we can get all 22, so I use what we have. You think I'm insecure? Do you see me asking anyone else for reassurance about having Randle at 13? I'm comfortable with my opinion and I put it out there. And for the record, Randle fits what Arizona needs better than Floyd.

Also, I don't think I'm better than people, but the fact that lots of guys on here don't know the basics of football, (systems, how to read/beat defenses) how are they supposed to know if a player is any good, and for what team? And I'm sure lots of you guys watch the Youtube videos too, or you watch the games on PVR's or whatever. But do you look at the tape to see the techniques? Do you rewind to see very critical things like if a QB keeps his elbow up? I'm sure some guys don't even know the significance of keeping your elbow up and not letting it drop. I'm betting lots of you guys don't, and just watch the video to see if he looks flashy, when in reality not every guy is going to look flashy, and flashyness is misleading in college to begin with. I can't even put all my thoughts into words for some of this stuff. But the blindness of some statements make me cringe.

I just don't think you sincerely believe Randle is going to go that high.

Either way, I like your retort and respect that response even if I don't agree with it. Personally, I think I have a good grasp of fundamentals and how the game works and really think you are overthinking a lot of small things just to show off a bit like that elbow comment... lol. Kudos to you though if you really do, not being sarcastic.

I wasn't saying you don't know the fundamentals. But there are some that don't. The elbow is one of the most important things for accuracy TBH. If it drops, the ball will arc and flutter, which means NFL teams will feast on that. Honestly, I'm not trying to show off, nor do I think that is showing off. I'm just trying to point out there's many things like that, that get overlooked. Last year I'll admit, I didn't care about that. I'd watch a QB, and would just see highlights. Was it complete? I didn't care about if it was an NFL throw or if he stared the guy down. I watched the surface, and I know how stupid I was last year, and I see the same stuff around here. I don't think I completely know the entire game of football, but I personally think I know enough to not have comments like Bosox's first comment thrown in my face. I have reasons why I think he could go high and have other sources who think he can too.

I haven't seen a single person aside for you say that he's a first round lock.
Majority have him as an early 2nd rounder, with a couple of guys saying he could sneak in via trade into the bottom of the 1st round.

Personally, I love Randle. Clearly I don't love him as much as you do, but I still like him as my #2 WR in this class, behind Floyd (I dislike Blackmon a lot, probably due to overhype from the media). But there is no chance he goes top 20, let alone 13th. First off, Cardinals have bigger needs than WR. If they can't get an OL like Reiff or DeCastro, they will want a pass rusher. They could pick up a Quinton Coples with that pick. They have a need at defensive back; Stephon Gilmore could be the pick.
And in all honesty, the Randle pick doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Yes, he would play well in their system, but he'd play very similarly to Early Doucet. They are a very similar player, with Randle being a little better, but why not solve an area of need when you can easily get that production at WR from your roster

And I lol at you saying that I don't know shit, it's kinda funny. You clearly do all your mocks and shit on how YOU value the players. Why doesnt the NFL just make you the league scouting director, and you tell everyone who to pick. Not everyone values the same players the same.

Like for instance, you have Still going 27th to NE. First off that's a little bit of a reach; I've been hearing he's fallen solid into the 2nd round. But even if we did, why would we follow up with Branch? That literally makes no sense. Drafting Still means we are going into the 4-3, because while he can play it, he really isn't a DE. Same way with Nick Perry being an OLB. He can probably do it, but he's better in the 4-3. You have us drafting a 4-3 DT, followed up by a 3-4 LB? You get one or the other, not both. And I doubt the Pats would pass on Cordy Glenn if available...

This is something the Pats would do during the draft
Pats deal #27 to Jags for #36, 101, 142
Pats deal #48, 101 to St. Louis for #39

#31: Josh Robinson CB
#36: Brandon Thompson NT/DT
#39: Vinny Curry 3-4 OLB 4-3 DE
