The Cavs are really good at trading for future 2nd round picks from teams who are about to lose superstars (Hornets and Magic)

Lakers could probably have Dwight if they want. Are they willing to "roll the dice"?

"Dwight Howard spent most of Tuesday night putting pressure on the Miami Heat. Then he turned around and put the pressure squarely on Orlando Magic officials, saying they should "roll their dice" that he'll remain beyond this postseason. After Howard and Jameer Nelson propelled the Magic to a thrilling 104-98 overtime victory at Amway Center, the superstar center told reporters he does not want to be dealt before Thursday's NBA trade deadline. But Howard would not answer whether he would sign elsewhere if he becomes a free agent over the summer. "I've been telling those guys [in the Magic front office], and I've been telling them for the past two or three weeks now, that I want to stay and"

Upset and ready to move Howard unless he changes his stance, the Magic have essentially told other teams, most notably the Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers, to let the bidding begin.

How familiar is this?

^ regarding him "wanting to stay" all of a sudden, he also said they have to "roll the dice" on him.

He's just trying not to look like the bad guy but if he just walks away at the end of the season, Magic fans will view him as the bad guy anyway.

He's going to look like the bad guy regardless of how he leaves Orlando.

Dwight's teammates are the ones saying he didn't say anything about next year.

Orlando needs to do what a few sources have said. Get it in ink in 24 hours, or trade him. Words don't mean anything.

In conference call tonight w/Magic officials before game in S.A., Dwight Howard tells team he’s NOT waiving his ETO:

Nevertheless, multiple league executives believe Magic's decision is now cemented that they'll trade Dwight Howard before Thursday deadline.

Somebody tell me why Miami hasn't offered Bosh and Norris Cole for Howard yet? Title lock this year with that deal
