I'm not a huge fan of Beasley, but for just a late first rounder? I would have done that in a second.

and i get it. they need a PG badly, trading your only assets for a guy that you dont absolutely NEED isnt very smart. they could use him, but they dont NEED him. they'd be fine with barnes and kobe playing the 3 the rest of the way (spot minutes for kobe at 3. or finish the game small with 2 pg's and kobe. they've done it before)
