Deron Williams' would prefer to remain with the Nets, but that appears to be predicated on the team's ability to acquire Dwight Howard, say sources.

Williams will sign a new deal with the Nets if Howard ends up joining him in Brooklyn.

The Mavericks, the Knicks and the Lakers would be his preferred options if he leaves the Nets, according to sources close to the situation.

If Howard is traded to another team that he plans on re-signing with, the Nets will begin to explore a trade of Williams, according to a source.

Mavericks, Knicks, and Lakers? Where have we heard that one?

This league is ridiculous, part of me just wants to believe the same people (Broussard) are spreading the same rumors for every star player.

The Knicks and Lakers want everybody...all the time.

Dallas would be sweet.

I'd love to see how he'd get to the Lakers or Knicks, because he certainly won't be getting traded to either team.

EDIT: Besides, we have MarShon "Mini-Mamba" Brooks. If Dwight doesn't end up here, Deron will be of no use to this franchise.

Brooks is good, but he's not a franchise PG.

No cause you should always rather have a franchise PG rather than a good or even franchise SG on your team....

If people can't make sense of that, they are stupid.

It's still amazing to me that Brooks fell that late in a poor draft.

Imagine if the Celtics had kept him too, the media probably would be hyping him up as "mini-mamba".

mini-mamba is a cool name
i call him baby kobe :)

btw, if you guys ever want to piss off laker fans, talk about how similar MarShon is to Kobe. they freak lol
they cant grasp that while he may not be kobe(not as athletic as kobe was in his prime), he plays really similar to him. even without reading about it, you can tell he models himself after kobe. i think it's awesome

The fact that they only got JaJuan makes it worse, he's a scrub.
