Richard Hamilton is nearing a deal with the Bulls, according to multiple reports.

Hamilton is expected to sign a two-year contract for about $10 million once his contract officially has been bought out by the Pistons.
Very reasonable.
Ending up only losing like 1 million after everything is said and done.

Could have done worse I suppose.

He needs to show he's still got something left in the tank.

He does. I'd be REAL surprised if he completely busts with you guys. Dude is one of the best conditioned players in the league.

I'm sure he'll get around 14 PPG.

I'm just not sure if he is gonna be what we need to defeat the Heat.

He's not really good at creating off the dribble and isn't much of a ball handler either... Which is exactly what we lacked against Miami.

He's actually pretty similar to Deng, in the fact that he is a mid-range jump shooter that uses a good amount of screens to get open.

He is actually sort of underrated IMO with his ball handling and creating off the dribble. He did both a lot more once Chauncey left.
It's not his strong suit at all, but he can do it.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this. I mean, does he really have anything left to give to a team that is trying to take that next step? Is he really the 2-guard that they need to win a title?

10 mil total from what I think.

Good sign, he'll start and do well.

I don't like the fit. I have watched him play with and without Billups, and it always seems to me that he only scores after getting 3 screens set for him. With D-rose, Boozer, Deng... Don't see him doing that. Don't think he's a good enough spot up shooter to make this deal worth it - I'd have rather picked up someone cheaper who would fit better.

he can create his own shot too, but he does need to come off screens. itll be a decent fit and he'll be a decent player and he is an upgrade but im not saying this will be great.

I don't see him being effective as a 4th option, but that's just me. It seems like he can kind of disappear when the team is working through it's other options.

he does but i think going to a new city and playing with derrick rose and being on a contender again could change his attitude about wanting to be "that" guy.

Yeah, he's a smart veteran - hopefully he can accept his role.

He'll be more effective as a 4th option rather than a 1 or 2....He'll just run around, get the ball when Rose draws a lot and shoot.

This is the MLE I'm guessing? NBA should have done away with that crap.

Of course, Forman said this with the knowledge that veteran shooting guard Richard Hamilton will be added soon, likely on Wednesday. With the league office closed Sunday, Hamilton's buyout is expected to be completed Monday and then he will be waived by the Pistons, according to two sources familiar with the situation.

Was the headband rule a Bulls rule, or more of a Scott Skiles rule?

Guess it's time for Rip to take off his face mask, and take an elbow or two to the face like a man.
