It is time to vote for the top 5 players at every position. Alot has changed in the last season so this should make for great discussion. Please try and vote for the best player and don't be a homer! I'll leave the polls open for about a day or so and after that we'll carry on to the #3 PG and so on. I will more than likely add more players as we go since you can only add 20 at a time.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

2011 TOP 5 SF RANKINGS
1) Lebron James
2) Kevin Durant
3) Carmelo Anthony
4)
5)

2011 TOP 5 SG RANKINGS
1) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Joe Johnson
4) Monta Ellis
5) Eric Gordon

2011 TOP 5 PG RANKINGS
1) Chris Paul
2) Deron Williams
3) Derrick Rose
4) Rajon Rondo
5) Steve Nash

I went with Pierce too. Good scorer and underrated defender.

I think PP is over his prime, if we have a season Granger will pass him.

This. I love PP but at this point in his career he's overrated. He's not the defender he once was, evident by LeBron torching him this year in the playoffs.

I don't think he's overrated, he isn't the same player he once was and people know that.

I'm also not sure about Granger, his shooting percentage has fallen since he's entered the league. Below 43% the past two seasons.

He has to carry that team offensively. Their second leading scorer in the playoffs was Tyler fucking Hansbrough. Granger's pretty underrated.

LOL come on BKS. Granger >>> Deng.

Granger is a better scorer, Deng is better at everything else.

Deng would put up 20 a game on a team like Indiana though too.

If I'm building a team I'd rather have Luol Deng than Granger.

i chose Rudy. I think people chose Pierce for what he's done, not what he's doing...

Good to see dudes giving Rudy the recognition. There's no doubt that he's just a better overall player than Pierce and Granger.

I think I gotta go with BKS on that one. I love Granger to, but he played pretty bad last season, if he can return to his 08-09 self, then he may be better. But Deng is very underrated in this league IMO. He isn't the go-to guy on the Bulls team, but consistently puts up 17 a game, with very good defense, and decent rebounding.

I think alot of guys are overrating Gay and underrating Pierce.

Of the guys talked about so far, James, KD, Melo, Pierce, Granger, and Gay, Pierce ranks compared to Gay (Pierce/Gay):

1st/6th in true shooting percentage
2nd/3rd in assist ratio
3rd/4th in turnover ratio
5th/6th in usage

I'd also say that Pierce is more valuable than Gay. Look what the Grizzlies did in the playoffs without Gay.

So the NBA is only an offensive league?

Just because a guy doesn't necessarily fit with a team doesn't mean anything. A lot of players lose value by going to one team or another.
