And 90% of the time, the predictions are Wrong.. thats why people predict the same fucking teams to go to playoffs every year.. but since 2003, there had been 4 new playoff teams or more.. every year.. but nope, people are too stupid to go off of what teams look like on Paper than how they play on the field.

Good day sir.
You haven't seen the Jags really play a game this year yet you're making a prediction off what they look like on paper.

You don't pass on a prospect like Luck because you took a shitty QB in the 2nd round the previous season.
You are right, guys like Luck don't come around all that often, if they passed up on him, I'd go crazy, especially if Dalton had a bad year. I mean, if Dalton looks good then it might be the better route to trade the pick (If they get that high) and improve another position, like finding Joseph's replacement. But really, things can change from now to then, you just never know. I really don't think the Bengals will be that bad, but they could be, hope not.

Not really.

I seen how we played last year. Last year I knew we was a few pieces away.

We had Don Carey (Former CB *WHO CAN'T TACKLE) as our starting FS. Was the reason why Darren McFadden torched us for so many yards/TD's and the reason why the secondary was so bad. We got Dawan Landry whos a really good Safety in this league. Along with the upgrades at LB with Poz and Session. Session brings something to the defense in hard hitting tackles and he's already started to become a leader in the lockeroom along with have 2 Forced Fumbles in 10 plays during very little time at being at the TC. This defense is going to be something special for Jag fans this year. Offense was never the problem, its not like we had a Manning to out preform our bad defensive play.. We just needed a defense that could help us maintain a lead.. and thats what we have now.

None of yall would know anything about that, because as soon as I talk about anything pertaining Jaguars, yall laugh then make yalls stupid ass prediction when yall don't even watch the team. It's cool though.

I cannot see Gabbert taking them anywhere, especially right away. Like I said, they are 1-2 years away from being a real contender. It's not like the Jaguars defense is good enough to carry them and the Jaguars need some more WR's. I know Jones-Drew won't be able to do it all. If Gabbert will even be the starting QB, not sure what they plan on doing and the extent of Garrards' injury.

Wow.

Ok, let me break it down for you.

Yall are pretty much sterotyping the Jags.

"They have a rookie QB, so they'll do bad here, here, and here.." What does that have to do with anything? Ben Roethlisberger lead the Steelers in 2004 to a 15-0 record. Mark Sanchez lead the Jets to the Playoffs, Matt Ryan lead the Falcons to the playoffs with a team that is much similar to the Jaguars now. Joe Flacco lead his team to the playoffs, Sam Bradford was a game away from leading his team to the Playoffs, and the Jaguars have a much better team than what he did.. and all Sam did was manage the games.. Thats all the Jags are asking for. If we have somebody that can just limit mistakes and hand the ball off with an occasional good play here or there.. then thats all we need to get to the playoffs.

Yall don't realize that because yall don't know shit about the Jags..

Jags have a good team, better team that what anybody here would admit to. Slept on, bigtime.

SMH.

Jags have more than enough offensive weapons to make a run this year.

Mike Thomas, Jason Hill, Marcedes Lewis, Zach Miller. Jones-Drew isn't going to be asked to carry the team this year, he's going to be sharing more reps with Rashad Jennings who compliments him well, as well with Deji Karim who is a game breaker and can make a big play happen at any time.

Everybody i've named above has flashed major potential just never had a QB who could get the ball to them. David Garrard doesn't go through the progressions or anything. He has normally 1 or 2 WR's he'll look at.. then run around in the backfield and take a sack. From what i saw of Gabbert so far, he goes through his progressions and threw balls that I've never seen Garrard ever attempt to make.

If Gabbert is named the starter, I still expect this team to make a run.

Its funny you say the Jags are 1-2 years away, because thats what everybody said 2 years ago.. the Jags got all the pieces in place to make a run THIS YEAR. Not 2 years from now. In 2 years, we'll only be stronger. We were a game away from the playoffs last year, and drasticly improved over the offseason. In 2009 we were also close to the playoffs. You're just sleeping on the Jags because you're blinded by all the "moves" the Texans have been making this offseason.

BTW.. I've already broke it down, the Jags are on the Colts level.. if you say it'll be between the Colts/Texans then the Jags will be in the race too. Don't discount the Titans either.. in reality.. any team in the AFC South has the ability to win it. Texans don't play the Colts well, the Jags always win atleast a game against the texans every year.. Titans normally beat the Texans too.. if they can't win in the division this year, they won't win shit.

I surely wasn't one of them saying they were 1-2 years away the past two years. I still don't think with the pieces they have now, is going to be enough to take down the Texans this year and the Colts will be right there as well. The Colts just weren't that great last year, had to overcome a lot of injuries and still won the division. Manning had a down year by his standards. I think the Jaguars were one of the more surprising teams last year, pulling out a couple of last second/minute wins and some started hyping them up a bit. Are they a decent team? Yes. Will they make a run at the Texans/Colts this year? No. They weren't good defensively, I know they've added some nice additions, but I don't expect the defense to be a ton better, but they will be better. The offense will be about the same or worse than last year. When you bring up guys like Roethlisburger, Flacco, Sanchez, they all had top defenses, that carried the teams -- The Jaguars do not have that. The Texans will be improved from last year defensively and the Offense is better than the Jaguars. Like I've said before, there's nothing wrong with believing in your team, but just because other people don't see it the same way as you hope, that doesn't make them stupid.

Flacco's defense wasn't that great his rookie year.. had Ray Lewis and company.. but they weren't amazing.

What about Matt Ryans defense? Hmmm?

Wins are wins, doesn't matter how you get em.

Jags defense will be way better this year, and I don't expect the offense to drop off at all.. we only lost MSW.. and thats no injury to us.. we never needed him.

The Ravens were a top five defense in 2008.

Nobody is stereotyping the Jags, you just consistently overrate them. Nobody here dislikes the Jags other than people who are fans of other teams in the AFC South and that's simply because of the rivalry.

Almost all of the QBs you mentioned had elite teams around them, the Jaguars don't and it's not even really debatable. Matt Ryan is really the only one who didn't have an elite team around him but he performed better than Blaine will. The Steelers were an elite team and Big Ben also played better than Gabbert will. Mark Sanchez had an elite defense and the top running game in the league on his side. Joe Flacco had the Ravens defense on his side, I don't care if they gave up big plays, they didn't let the other team score and that's all that matters. Bradford played in the worst division in all of football.

The Jags defense this year isn't going to let the other team score more than last year.. 419 career points? Most in the Jags history and we was still only a game away from the playoffs.

What makes you so sure on how Blaine will play? You see the future doe?

It's called a prediction. Can you see the future when you predict that the Jags are making the playoffs?

I just don't and have never seen Blaine as the QB you think he's going to be.

I've always liked Blaine, way before the Jags even picked him.

Hes in the same mold of Bradford and Matt Ryan.

Pre-draft, when I was watching the stuff I had on Gabbert, he only reminded me of one guy: Matt Ryan. But, I also don't think he is as ready as Ryan was, especially without the off-season. I could see him coming in around week 5-6 and being about what Ryan was, but if they start him right off that bat it might hurt his confidence. I just don't think he's ready yet.

And I never hear nothing about the Titans around here. They aren't that bad and signed a lot of good players. They got Ruud, Babineaux, who I hope takes over for Hope, and Hasselbeck is a HUGE upgrade from Vince Young/Kerry Collins. Plus, Derrick Morgan is back from injury, Shaun Smith at DT, so they're moving Jason Jones back to DE, his natural position. And Akeem Ayers is tearing up camp. I can guarantee they won't finish 4th in the south. They'll beat out someone for the 3rd spot.

Would like to see the Browns give Aaron Maybin a shot as a back up.. We need DE depth, and maybe changing back to a DE in the 4-3 will help his career. But he obviously would have to put on weight.

I've gave the Titans love (if you wanna call it that) on here.

the regulars here on SI only see the Colts (Because of Manning) and the Texans (That offense with HOPES of a good defense) as the contenders.

They don't realize the actual terms and facts here

We won't know the facts until they go out on the field and show it, we can say whatever we want. It will be either the Colts or Texans and I'll go with the Texans.

So if you don't know the facts, why even say the Texans or Colts.

All the Colts have is Manning.. who won't be able to practice with the team, or get any preseason reps in.. Has a horrible offensive line infront of him.. and yall expect him to say upright and come out and throw for 5000 yards and shit like the normal Manning? No.
