man I love the off-season. everybody's homer goggles return :D i guess it's my turn. Amar'e is the best PF in the league and Melo is the best player in the league. Chauncey is arguably a top 5 point guard in the league. ;)
Good one/

so do I > _>

anyways, Ron Artest.
dude goes on twitter and gives us some news that never happened. pretty cool. means nothing, but pretty cool

im gonna paraphrase

he said that he was traded to the Clippers, and was a Clipper for 10 minutes. then donnie walsh called and said Corey Maggette failed his physical and Ron went back on suspension with the Pacers
so Ron said he was in L.A. for 3 months and 2 weeks after the failed trade, the Kings traded Peja for him

lol

lol at the guy who said West, Landry, and Jack for Bosh would be a bad trade for Miami. Just LOL. David West would provide practically the same thing Bosh did and Landry would add a starting-quality bench player. Not to mention the addition of Jack, who can play point so Miami can dump that slow and useless thing the call Mike Bibby these days.

3 good pieces and giving up one? Thats +2 in my book. Bosh played a lot better in these playoffs than people acted like, but he's still not as good as people think.

The original post definitley did not say all 3 of those guys.. It said West or Landy with Jack..

This is a star driven league. Chris Bosh is a star, David West is simply not. Bosh is more talented and is better at David West's main attribute, shooting.

Jarrett Jack is a thrown it at best.. Bibby won't be back in Miami next year, and Chalmers is better then Jack. Basically the Heat would be downgrading at PF to add a back up PG. Idiotic move.

ah, I thought it said both West and Landry, in which case Miami would definitely win the trade.

He's a better defender. Jack is a better shooter (not by much imo), but Chalmers still hits open shots and he hits big shots. Play making ability is irrelevant as a PG on the Heat so not really gonna comment on that even though neither are very good passes/play makers.

Not true. David West shot 45.8% on jumpers this year, Chris Bosh only 43.5%. You're overrating Chris Bosh lol. All he does his shoot mid-range jumpers, something David West is better than him at, and he gets the occasional tip-in - that's it. Overrated player.

Jack is better, but Chalmers is younger.

Guys I just bought Bill Simmons Book of Basketball to further my knowledge in the sport known as basketball. Any tips, ideas, comments, or critiques?

Lol I'd suggest buying books written by actual coaches. I'm reading a book by John Wooden right now.

Lol at elcheato saying Chalmers is better than Jack.

No he isn't...

Over the last two months of the season Jack averaged 12 points, 4 assists, and a steal off the bench BEHIND Chris Paul.

You're using the last two months of a season as a barometer? lol. Chalmers brings more to the table then Jack overall.

Chalmers put up 12 points a game in the finals so he is just as good....
