The owners are going to try to idiot-proof the next CBA to make sure that even retarded owners make money. The MLE has b een used on so many shitty players throughout the years. And since there's such a large number of teams in the NBA that aren't making money, the owners will have no mercy in the bargaining talks. They're going to get what they want.

This isn't like the NFL where everyone is making money, and both sides have huge incentives to get a deal done.
