Rasheed Wallace indeed plans to retire, according to his agent, Bill Strickland.

Shaquille O'Neal told reporters in Orlando this weekend that Wallace was rethinking his decision to retire and pleaded with him to return.
Man, definitely kind of sad. I'll always love Rasheed. Congrats to him for having such a great career. He will always be one of my favorite Pistons.

he had the potential to be the greatest big man ever, but he has a couple screws missing. haha. still a great player and a great person. he'll be missed for sure. but he went out somewhat on top, still.

You think Detroit will retire his number?

TBH, I think the whole starting 5 from our championship team deserves their name retired.

That would be neat. But I doubt it. If anyone, Ben Wallace deserves his.

your man charles barkely even says that. his skill set was pretty damn legit when he was younger but he never tried as hard as he could.

potential doesnt mean i said he was. if he played hard and went out on every play he would easily be top 5 big man ever.

he was athletic, long and soft shooting touch, great defense, solid rebounder, and he could run the floor as well as handle the ball great for his size. he never even came close to what he could have been in my eyes. if he played hard every play for every game he could be a hofer who got 18-21ppg and 10rpg to go along with solid assists and blocks.

he was lazy though and didnt always have his head on though.

Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem (in no order). Wouldn't even sniff that bro.

Lol I like Charles Barkley because he's funny, I didn't say he's always right. How can you honestly say Rasheed could have been better than any of the big men I named?

you are always right, not charles. thats what i was saying. and im NOT saying sheed is better then them. i was saying i agree with what charles said and he said IF sheed played to his full potential ALL the time then hed be a top 5 big guy.

he had all the tools to be that great, but he never really tried.

And what I'm saying is, even if Sheed played his best on every single play of every single game, you still can't put him in the class of those 5. You're just being a Pistons fan...
