The Lakers should know that by now. Prior to Friday’s game, Phil Jackson said he considered Denver “among the three or four” top teams in the West. Even then, however, he wasn’t ready to call the Nuggets a rival.
“The Sacramento Kings are our rivals,” Jackson said. “They’re a California team. They’re close to home and all that stuff.”
Too bad we suck tho.

About time. Jason Thompson is looking really nice as well. We just need a center, Spencer Hawes is still really raw. I want Meka. <3

Are the Hornets looking to move him?
A source with knowledge of the situation says the Kings are discussing a trade with New Orleans that would send Kenny Thomas to the Hornets and bring center Emeka Okafor to Sacramento.

The deal would be ideal for the Hornets, as Thomas' expiring contract worth $8.7 million is just the kind of contract that would trim their enormous payroll. The question, of course, is whether the Kings see Okafor as a big man solution worth the five years and approximately $62 million left on his deal.

So the Hornets are pretty much deciding to re-tool I guess.
